As the presenting sponsor of the Future of Food @ SXSW event, The Kroger Co. Zero Hunger | Zero Waste Foundation wishes to postpone the Future of Food convening next weekend (3/14/20) at SXSW. The Future of Food @ SXSW was going to bring together a diverse group of experts, influencers, leaders and visionaries to discuss how technology, innovation and social issues are revolutionizing the future of food.
We understand and respect the decision of the SXSW event team and the City of Austin to hold the event. However, it is our position to postpone the Future of Food convening at this time. We need all voices at the table, and we feel we cannot accomplish that goal in the current climate. The health and wellbeing of our communities is the top priority for The Kroger Co. Zero Hunger | Zero Waste Foundation.
The Kroger Co. Zero Hunger | Zero Waste Foundation is committed to reconvening our partners and bringing additional partners together at a future date, whether it is later this year or at SXSW 2021. We believe this is the right decision, and we look forward to bringing together the Future of Food event in the future.
